What Is Brow Coverup & Correction?

Brow coverup and correction involves adjusting the shape, color, or overall appearance of existing permanent makeup brows. This may include:

  • Neutralizing unwanted tones (red, blue, or grey)

  • Softening overly bold or uneven work

  • Improving balance and proportion

  • Refining previous results to appear more natural

Correction is not about erasing the past—it’s about creating a more harmonious outcome moving forward. Not all brow work can or should be corrected immediately.

Brows Coverup & Correction

Who Is a Candidate?

You may be a candidate if you:

  • Have brows that healed too dark, uneven, or ashy

  • Are unhappy with the shape or thickness of previous PMU

  • Have brows that no longer suit your facial features

  • Want a softer, more refined result

Not all clients are candidates for immediate correction. In some cases, removal, fading, or additional healing time may be recommended.

 Important Expectations

Brow correction requires flexibility, patience, and realistic expectations.

  • Complete removal is not possible with correction alone

  • Multiple sessions may be required

  • Results depend on existing pigment & skin condition

  • Some shapes cannot be significantly altered

Honest consultations are a cornerstone of Phoenix Brows. Recommendations are always made in your best interest.

 The Healing Process

Healing timelines vary depending on the amount of existing pigment and correction required.

  • Initial darkening and warmth are normal

  • Gradual softening occurs as brows heal

  • Final results are assessed after full healing

  • Touch-up sessions may be needed for optimal refinement

A touch-up session is typically recommended 6–8 weeks after the initial appointment to perfect the correction.

How to send brow photos (for corrections / cover-ups)

If you have previous permanent eyebrow makeup, please send a clear, makeup-free photo taken with the back camera of your phone. This gives us the resolution we need to properly assess your brows before booking.

Please do

  • Send brows from three angles (front + both sides)

  • Use natural light when possible

  • Keep photos clear and unfiltered

Please don’t

  • Send filtered photos

  • Send mirror selfies

  • Send photos with brow makeup

  • Send shots that are too far away or overly close

  • Send photos that are too dark or too bright
